Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Spot Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures rose by 0.06 per cent to Rs 855.50 per kilogram on Tuesday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery climbed 55 paise or 0.06 per cent to Rs 855.50 per kg in a business turnover of 949 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Monday rose marginally by Rs 1 to Rs 235.40 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June increased Rs 1 or 0.43 per cent to Rs 235.40 per kg in 697 lots.
Zinc futures climb on high participation
Zinc prices increased Rs 1.65 to Rs 252.75 per kilogram in the futures trade on Monday amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 1.65 or 0.66 per cent at Rs 252.75 per kg with a business turnover of 736 lots.
